History

Welcome to the ESPN Ocho - the story behind the story. We'll dig into the archives of TamaSlama to see just how much booze was needed to create the brand.

Tama Slama

Tama Slama

Tamarama Beach

Where it all started, Tamarama Beach, NSW. We played 2011 to 2020 without a single permit ;-) - thus my grey hair!

South Coast Slam

South Coast Slam

Bendalong

This was our first year away from Tamarama Beach...guess you could call it a covid silver lining...Tama was closed!

Newy Slam

Newy Slam

Merewether Beach

After a successful first ever Tama Slama on the road the previous year in Bendalong...we looked for another beach within striking distance from Sydney.

Country Slam

Country Slam

Southern Highlands

For years I'd suggested that volleyball can be played away from the beach...but most thought I was crazy. Having played all over Colorado, I knew it was real.

Island Slam

Island Slam

Whitehaven Beach

It was a big ask, but after 13 years of Slam, we had to take to the air to get to the 14th - Island Slam! The Whitsundays did not disappoint!

Booti Slam

Booti Slam

Booti Booti National Park

Yes...it's a real place ;-) - welcome to the Barrington Coast! Stretching from the rainforested highlands of Barrington Tops, through the magestic Myall Lakes, to the golden sand beaches of Booti Booti National Park.
